PINS and CHT Infinity Deploy Second Smart Pole in Indonesia’s New Capital Nusantara

Nusantara, Indonesia— PT PINS Indonesia, a subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia, and PT CHT Infinity Indonesia, a joint venture under Chunghwa Telecom Group, have deployed their second smart pole in Indonesia’s new capital, Nusantara (IKN), marking another milestone in the city’s smart infrastructure development. The deployment follows the successful installation of the first smart pole, reinforcing both companies’ leadership in urban technology innovation.

The project is part of a Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate the practical application of advanced smart city technologies. The second smart pole features enhanced capabilities and was recently presented to the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), receiving positive feedback.

In addition to the smart pole solution, the companies also showcased the CHT CityOS platform—an open and integrated system designed to manage large volumes of data collected through embedded IoT technologies. The processed data is visualized on customizable dashboards, making it suitable for command centers and large-scale operations.

As both parties continue to advance smart city solutions in IKN, their strategic partnership is expected to drive further innovation, improving urban living standards and operational efficiency.

Shih-Chun Shih, Chairman of CHT Infinity, emphasized that the second smart pole deployment is not only a technical achievement but also a strategic foundation for AI applications, 6G connectivity, and cybersecurity to support a secure and sustainable smart city ecosystem.
